SurfAir Resort Beach House Development, Marcoola

As part of the redeveloped Surfair Resort Marcoola, DM2 Architecture were commissioned to design and implement a beach house precinct consisting of four, five level luxury beach residences.

Located on the North-East corner of the resort, each residence is provided direct access to the beach. Privacy is provided via careful use of building recesses and orientation, while floor to ceiling glazing featuring large overhangs admit natural light while providing protection from weather. For each beach house, ground level comprises the entry, secondary bedrooms and bathrooms as well as a second living area including a private courtyard with plunge pool.

An open plan second level is serves as the main entertaining space with a generous kitchen and living dining area expanding out to a large deck. The third level features the main bedroom with large ensuite, dress area and private balcony. Stairs lead to a roof terrace, shaded by sails.
