McDonalds at Harbour Town

Projects / Hospitality and Retail

The McDonalds at Harbour town underwent a major remodel in 2010. The Building was extended to accommodate a new McCafe seating space and the existing terrace received a new roof structure and planter to its perimeter. From the planter stainless steel wires, covered in growing vines softened the existing building and also created a natural shade screen that secured the space.

Internal décor

Internally the décor used contrasting black and white finishes with blackbutt timber cladding to add warmth to the dining and McCafe areas. Varying widths and thickness of painted MDF strips were used to create an engaging wall finish down the length of the dining area.

Award Winning

McDonalds Australia was delighted with the upgrade and dm2 won best McDonalds restaurant refurbishment in Queensland for 2010.
