With a focus on practical education this innovative studio is a multi-purpose facility for students in the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management. With learning in these disciplines focused on spatial problem solving our design provided a flexible, collaborative space with digital technology integrated throughout. Providing accessibility to students in both large and small group learning settings, the studio doubles as two informal studios or one large space via an operable wall. Dividing wall panels are clad in magnetic whiteboard creating functional display, exhibition and presentation surfaces. A ceiling made up of lightweight linear acoustic baffles controls noise and parallel linear lighting to create harmonious environments.
