Client: The University of Queensland
This project involved developing a future focused aesthetic and planning vision for the space in order to meet current and potential future teaching and research needs. Our design solution provided laboratories which allowed for flexible delivery, accommodating both wet lab and computer-based functions with monitors, projectors and screens linked between individual work spaces, tutor groups and the central lectern. The project entailed the refurbishment of 840m2 of existing laboratories and preparation spaces into two laboratories accommodating 112 students each. Each laboratory is further broken into seven tutor groups to allow for flexible delivery.
