Gin Gin Community Hub

Projects / Commercial

Extending and transforming an existing council administration building into a vibrant, refreshing and light-filled community facility;  we are excited to see construction start in the new year on what will be a valuable asset for the people of Gin Gin.  The design is loosely based around the story of the only bushranger in Queensland, who was captured in Gin Gin and is known as ‘The Wild Scotchman’. There are nods to Scottish barns and clan tartan, whilst maintaining a contemporary approach.  The design has been thoughtfully detailed to utilise standard building techniques and materials to ensure buildability.

The spaces are flexible and accessible, including a library, hire rooms, meeting spaces, community gardens, respite centre and offices, and can be opened up for large community events or closed down into distinct functions.
